Check out these photos from our trip to the New Walk Museum. We were shown real Ancient Egyptian artefacts as well as having the chance to explore the fossils and rocks exhibition! It was a fab day!

Photo Frame Project

Finally year three have completed their photo frame DT project! The final wood has been sawn, the glue gun switched off and the glitter vacuumed up from the carpet. Today they evaluated their work and many children’s frames successfully stood up by themselves and a photo could be slotted in and out easily. Phew!

My nephew, Beau and I have just visited the New Walk Museum in Leicester to check out the different exhibitions for our upcoming trip. There are loads of exciting things to see and activities to do! I can’t wait until we go on our trip. Beau says “Beware of the mummies!” from Miss Riley.

Year 3 gave the whole school community a real treat today with a wonderful assembly all about The Ancient Egyptians.
The assembly was a fusion of modern day culture with the X factor, Who wants to be a millionaire? As well as history. The pupils showed off what they had learnt over there topic – Poetry, dance, a song and even how to make a mummy.
